Ponderista comes from the verb ponder, meaning "to contemplate or wonder” and the suffix -ista, meaning "specialist". 

 

I've spent a great deal of time contemplating ever since I was small. Grownups told me that I looked inattentive. Today, during the hours I spend awake and not working, my brain scampers away and up a tree.

At night, this becomes a downright nuisance.

 

My objectives for this blog are:

1) to understand my experiences, to see the details I missed the first time and to find patterns

2) to question myself

3) to chronicle my ideas and watch them change

4) to practice writing

5) to empty my mind temporarily so that I can sleep
